Structure and MDLŽ Number Searching
Now Offered on Alfa Aesar Web Site
Alfa Aesar, a Johnson Matthey Company, has added a molecular structure and substructure search capability, as well as a search by MDLŽ number option, to its website at www.alfa.com.
The new structure search function allows Alfa Aesar customers to search for families of building blocks and intermediates through the use of a molecular drawing tool. The user can draw a molecule and search either by substructure, where any instance of the drawn molecule as a complete structure or as a substructure is returned as a search result, or by exact structure where only exact matches are returned. The drawing tool provided is the well-known JME Editor developed by Peter Ertl of Novartis.
