Elemental Form| Found in all minerals containing zirconium, hafnium is a ductile metal with a brilliant silver luster. It is strong and extremely corrosion resistant. Zirconium and hafnium's chemistry are virtually identical (except that hafnium's density is twice that of zirconium) and therefore, are extremely difficult to seperate.
