Elemental Form

Neodymiun is a soft, malleable, silvery-white metal that becomes yellowish when exposed to air. It is one of the more reactive rare earth metals. Neodymium quickly tarnishes in air, forming an oxide that spalls off exposing fresh metal to further oxidation. It has a high electrical resistivity and is paramagnetic.
