Pure vanadium is bright white, soft, and ductile. Vanadium is found in about 65 different minerals, in some phosphate rocks and iron ores, in some crude oils, and in meteorites at small percentages. It is not affected by moisture at room temperature. However, it will oxidize at room temperature. The metal has good structural strength.
