Reagent, more selective than HF, for cleavage of silyl groups. Unlike HF, excess reagent is not required, and catalytic amounts are sometimes effective. TBDMS can be selectively cleaved in the presence of TBDPS or TIPS groups: J. Org. Chem., 57, 2492 (1992); 58, 5130 (1993); 60, 6674 (1995).
