Anwendungen

It is used in agriculture as a high-nitrogen fertilizer. It is one of the main components of ammonium nitrate/fuel oil (ANFO). ANFO is used in coal mining, quarrying, metal mining, and civil construction. It is also used as an oxidizer in solid rocket propellants.

Bemerkungen

Ammonium nitrate is hygroscopic. Store in a tightly closed container in a cool area. It should be separated from acids, alkalies, reducing agents and combustibles.
