It finds its application as a substance used to destroy pests of the subclass Acari (mites and ticks). It is also employed as a substance that inhibits or prevents the proliferation of neoplasms. It also has a biological role as a substance that induces the process of apoptosis (programmed cell death) in multi-celled organisms.
