N-Acetyl-Arg-Glu-Lys-Arg-7-amino-4-(trifluoromethyl)coumarin is employed as a fluorogenic cathepsin D substrate.

Bemerkungen

When Ac-REKR-AFC is hydrolyzed, the free AFC can be measured by fluorescence (400nm excitation, 505nm emission) or spectrophotometry (extinction coefficient 12,600 at 380nm, pH 7.2).
