Applications

Calcium nitrate hydrate is used as a nitrate enriching salt. It is also used as a component in fertilizers, waste water treatment to prevent odor and inset accelerating concrete admixtures. Further, it is used for regenerable cold packs.

Notes

Hygroscopic. Incompatible with strong reducing agents, organic materials, strong acids and metal powders.
