Applications

Terbium(III) fluoride is used as a source of terbium. It is also useful in the preparation of fluoride glasses. Further, it is used in the preparation of electroluminescent thin films and luminescent zinc sulfide.

Notes

Hygroscopic. Incompatible with strong reducing agents and acids.
