Applications

Samarium(III) fluoride is used as laboratory reagent, in optical glasses, structural ceramics, catalysts, electrical components and photo-optical material. It has specialized uses in phosphors, lasers, and thermoelectric devices.

Notes

Hygroscopic. Store in cool dry place. Keep the container tightly closed. Ensure good ventilation at the work place.
