It is very soluble in water and THF. It is sparingly soluble in alcohol and insoluble in ether.

Applications

It is used in famous organic reactions such as Friedel-Crafts acylation and Diels-Alder reaction as a lewis acid catalyst.

Stable. The molten state of indium(III)chloride may conduct electricity. Hygroscopic in nature.
