Applications

Potassium perruthenate(VII) is used in the production of carbon nanotubes for flexible solid-state supercapacitors. It is also used as an oxidizing agent in the synthesis of 5-formylcytosine from 5-hydroxymethylcytosine.

Notes

Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, reducing agents, organic materials, alcohols and metal powders.
