Applications

Dysprosium(III) nitrate pentahydrate is used to prepare carboxylate-based dinuclear dysprosium compound by reacting with n-butyric acid and triethylamine using methanol as a solvent.

Notes

Hygroscopic. Moisture sensitive. Incompatible with strong reducing agents, strong acids, bases, organic materials and metal powders.
