Applications

Cadmium chloride is utilized in the preparation of CdTe nanocrystals, highly luminescent. It is also employed in analytical chemistry, photography, dyeing and calico printing, ingredient of electroplating baths, manufacture of special mirrors, the preparation of cadmium standard, analysis of sulfides, and testing pyridine bases.

Notes

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. It is sensitive to air and hygroscopic in nature. Store under inert gas. Incompatible with acids, oxidizing agents, sulfur, selenium and tellurium.
