Applications

Tetrafluoroboric acid-diethyl ether acts as an effective catalyst used for various carbohydrate protection reactions. It is also used as a catalyst in the preparation of 4-fluoropiperidines by reaction between aldehydes and N-tosyl homoallylamine.

Notes

Store in a cool place. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, bases and water.
