Applications

1,10-Phenanthroline iron(II) sulfate is used as an indicator for the iron phenanthroline compound in analytical chemistry. Further, it is used as a redox indicator for making oscillatory Belousov-Zhabotinsky reactions visible.

Notes

Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, potassium iodide, potassium tartrate, sodium borate and sodium tartrate .
