Applications

Dimethylamine 40% aqueous solution is used as a precursor in the preparation of nitrosodimethylamine. It is also used in paint additives, lubricants, lubricant additives and coating additives. It plays a major role in ion exchange agents and agricultural chemicals.

Notes

Incompatible with oxidizing agents and oxygen,Sodium aluminum hydride, sodium tetrahydroaluminate, lithium tetrahydroaluminate, borane, metal halides, strong acids, caustic alkalis and bromine.
