Applications

Used in aluminum production, fluorocarbons, pickling stainless steel, etching glass, acidizing oil wells, gasoline production and processing uraniumHydrofluoricacid is used in the glass etching, electronic and chemical industries. Hydrogen fluoride is mainly used in the production of organofluorine compounds, aluminum and chlorofluorocarbons. Hydrogen fluoride is also used for separating uranium isotopes, as a catalyst in the petroleum industry, and in stainless steel pickling. Hydrofluoric acid is used as a pickling agent and used in the semiconductor materials.
