Applications

Gallium(III) isopropoxide can be used to accelerate the drying of paints or printing inks. It is also used as effective catalysts in the conversion of an aldehyde to an ester, ketones to secondary alcohols.

Notes

It is hygroscopic. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
