Glassy carbon splinter powder is used as such in purifying metals, in electrodes, electrical devices & steel. L-Cysteine methyl ester modified glassy carbon powder (CysOMe-GC) has been shown to have potential for the removal of toxic heavy metal ions, such as copper(II), cadmium(II) and arsenic(III), from “real” water samples. Amorphous carbon may be used to develop zero temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) based systems. Glassy carbon has been used as a catalyst support for bimetallic Rh-ReOx. It may be used to enhance the accuracy of infrared (IR) surface temperature measurements on micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS).


Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store away from strong oxidizing agents, halogens.
