Soluble in aqueous metal halides, water, acetone, alcohol, hydrobromic acid and hydrochloric acid.


Palladium(II) chloride is used as a catalyst precursor. It is used in suzuki reaction. It is also used in the synthesis of semiconducting metal-containing polymers where the polypyrrole backbone has a conformational energy minimum and is nearly planar.


Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep in properly labeled containers. Store at room temperature. Incompatible with strong acids, bases and oxidizing agents. It is hygroscopic in nature.
