Super acid catalystNafion|r NR50 is a perfluorinated ion-exchange membrane which has a wide variety of commercial uses. It is an acidic hydrogen ion form and superacid catalysts useful in a wide variety of synthetic applications. It finds application as a catalyst in alkylation and acylation reactions. It is also used in the production of sensors.


Hygroscopic. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids.
