Applications

Intermediate for sol-gel coatingsTungsten(VI) ethoxide is used in nano-materials, thin films, display and imaging, optics and glasses. It is also used for x-ray screen phosphors, fireproofing fabrics and in gas sensors. Also, it acts as an intermediate for sol-gel coatings.

Notes

Contains W(OC{2}H{5}){5}, WO(OC{2}H{5}){4} and analogs.Moisture sensitive. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
