It is also useful for mineral processing, fertilizer manufacturing, oil refining, waste water processing, and chemical synthesis. The sulfuric acid doped poly (m-aminophenol) is used as aliphatic alcohol vapor sensor material. The catalytic decomposition of sulfuric acid on mixed Cr/Fe oxide, shows an useful application in sulfur-iodine cycle for hydrogen production.

Notes

It is stable and hygroscopic chemical compound. Incompatible with water, most common metals, organic materials, strong reducing agents, combustible materials, bases and oxidizing agents.
