Applications

Potassium hydroxide, 0.5N standardized solution in methanol is used for volumetric analysis in laboratories.

Notes

Incompatible with acids, oxidizing agents, light metals, alkali metals, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, reducing agents, halogens. Contact with nitromethane and other similar nitro compounds causes formation of shock-sensitive salts.
