Applications

Palladium(II) bromide is used as a source of the palladium(0) precatalyst in various coupling reactions. It is used as a catalyst for the carbonylative Heck coupling reaction. It is also used as an oxidizing agent in organic synthesis.

Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
