Applications

Benzene is used as an intermediate to make other chemicals, to make some types of rubbers, lubricants, dyes, detergents and drugs. It is used as a constituent in motor fuels,as a solvent for fats, waxes, resins, oils, inks, paints, plastics, rubber, in the extraction of oils from seeds,nuts and in photogravure printing.It is an excellent ligand in the organometallic chemistry.
