Applications

It finds its application as a selective reducing agent. It is also employed as a reagent for enantioselective synthesis of a-amino acids via reduction of N-tert-butanesulfinyl ketimine esters, diastereoselective reduction reactions, hydride reduction of the Danishefsky pyranones, asymmetric reductive aldol reaction of enones with a-alkoxy aldehydes and in the synthesis of alkanols by carbonylation reactions.

Notes

Moisture sensitive. Store away from oxidizing agents, alcohols, air, light and water/moisture. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition. Store in dark.
