Chemical Properties

Formula Weight
Melting point
Storage & Sensitivity
Moisture Sensitive. Ambient temperatures.
Soluble in water.

Tris[N,N-bis(trimethylsilyl)amide]gadolinium(III) is used in many asymmetric catalysis applications, glove box and Schlenk techniques should be employed to prevent exposure of the rare earth catalyst to air and moisture, which can be detrimental to the reaction outcome.

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Never allow product to get in contact with water during storage. Over time, pressure may increase causing containers to burst Handle and open container with care. Air, Moisture sensitive. Reacts violently with water. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents.
