Applications

Amidosulfonic acid is mainly a precursor to sweet-tasting compounds. Reaction with cyclohexylamine followed by addition of NaOH gives C6H11NHSO3Na, sodium cyclamate. Sulfamic acid is used as an acidic cleaning agent

Notes

Keep in a tightly closed container. Protect from physical damage. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sources of heat, moisture. Incompatible to strong oxidizers, nitric acid, chlorine. Solutions are strong acids and react violently with bases.
