Applications

Nitinol foil is used in cell phone antennas, children's toys, experimental materials, eye glasses components and medical equipment. It is also used in heat engines, resilient glass frames, mechanical watch springs, temperature control system, couplings, golf club insert, biomedical and medical uses, cell-phone technology: retractable antenna, microphone boom. It is highly biocompatible and has properties suitable for use in orthopedic implants.
