Applications

Zirconium(IV) fluoride is used as a zirconium source in oxygen-sensitive applications such as metal production. Together with uranium salt, zirconium fluoride can be a component of fuel-coolant in molten salt reactors.

Notes

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. It is hygroscopic in nature. Incompatible with oxidizing agents and bases.
