Applications

Tin(IV) acetate is used to prepare tin-based oxides (Sn-Zn-P-O), which is a negative electrodes for rechargeable lithium batteries.

Notes

Hygroscopic. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Hydrolyzes in water.
