Chemical Properties

Insoluble in water and organic solvents.


It is a catalyst used in Stille reaction, hydrogenation reactions, Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and Heck-Mizoroki reactions, deoxygenation, oxidation reactions and coupling reactions.


Palladium on carbon should always be handled under an inert atmosphere (preferably argon), and reaction vessels should be flushed with inert gas before the catalyst is added.
