Applications

Propionic anhydride is used as a esterifying reagent and as a reagent in organic synthesis.

Notes

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. It is sensitive to moisture. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and alcohols.
