Other uses include refrigerator liners, medical devices and small household appliances. It is used as a precursor for the preparation of styrene-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene latex, styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS), styrene-divinylbenzene (S-DVB) and styrene-acrylonitrile resin (SAN), which are used in rubber, plastic, insulation, fiberglass, pipes, automobile and boat parts, food containers and carpet backing.

Notes

Air and light sensitive. Store in cool place. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with oxidizing agents and copper.
