Applications

Pimelic acid derivatives are involved in the biosynthesis of the amino acid called lysine. It is applied as a precursor to many polyesters and polyamides. It is the final member of the mnemonic used to aid recollection of the order of the first six dicarboxylic acids.

Store away from oxidizing agents and light. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition.
