4-Bromobenzenesulfinic acid sodium salt dehydrate is used in the preparation of unsymmetrical internal alkynes and vinyl sulfones by reaction with alkynes by using palladium as a catalyst.

Notes

Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong reducing agents.
