Chemical Properties

Miscible with methanol, acetonitrile, acetone, dichloromethane and dimethyl sulfoxide. Immiscible with water and diethyl ether.


1-n-Butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis (trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide is useful for electrodeposition. It is also used in energy storage in lithium batteries and in super capacitors. Further, it is employed in organic synthesis.


Moisture sensitive. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Store in a cool place.
