Applications

Sulfuryl chloride is often used as a source of chlorine. is widely used as a reagent in the conversion of C-H ? C-Cl adjacent to activating substituent such as carbonyls and sulfoxides. It also chlorinates alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatics, ethers (such as tetrahydrofuran) and epoxides.
