Formaldehyde, used as an embaliming agent due to its ability to crosslink primary amino groups in proteins through a methylene linkage, Formaldehyde is also used in numerous industrial applications and organic syntheses.


Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. 10-15% methanol as preservative is used to stabilise this chemical.
