Applications

Thioridazine is a piperidine typical antipsychotic drug belonging to the phenothiazine widely used in the treatment of schizophrenia and psychosis. It primary use in medicine was the treatment of schizophrenia.This medication is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (e.g., schizophrenia). Thioridazine·HCl is a calcium channel protein inhibitor as well as a D2DR/D4DR inhibitor. It is an intercalating agent for analyzing the integrity of double stranded DNA by using the square-wave voltammetry.
