Applications

DiI-Ac-LDL is used to label vascular endothelial cells and macrophages and isolate these cells from mixed cell populations. When cells are labeled with DiI-Ac-LDL, the lipoprotein is degraded by lysosomal enzymes and the fluorescent probe accumulates in the intracellular membranes.DiI-Lipoprotein, low density, acetylated, human plasma is used to flag both macrophages and vascular endothelial cells in order to identify and isolate these from populations of mixed cells.

Notes

Do not freeze. Store at 4°C for up to 3 months.Light sensitive. Incompatible with oxidizing agents, light and heat.
