Methylamine, 40% w/w aq. solution is used as a mobile phase in the perchlorate analysis of milk and yogurt samples by LC-MS/MS. It is also used in the synthesis of 9-fluorenylmethyl N-methylcarbamate and tert-butyl N-methylcarbamate, 7-methylamino-2-(2-quinolyl)tropone, 2,5-meso-pyrrolidines and 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-N-methylacetamide.
