Applications

Diethylsilane is used as a precursor to prepare (3-allylsulfanyl-propyl)-diethyl-silane by using (Ph<sub>3</sub>P)<sub>3</sub>RhCl as reagent. It is also used in the chemical vapor deposition of SiO<sub>2</sub> for microelectronics.

Notes

Moisture sensitive. Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, bases, oxygen and water.
