Thioridazine is a piperidine typical antipsychotic drug belonging to the phenothiazine widely used in the treatment of schizophrenia and psychosis. Thioridazine·HCl is a calcium channel protein inhibitor as well as a D2DR/D4DR inhibitor. It is an intercalating agent for analyzing the integrity of double stranded DNA by using the square-wave voltammetry.
