Endothelial Mitogen (ECGS) is a partially purified preparation from bovine hypothalamus. Endothelial Mitogen was originally prepared to facilitate the growth and survival of human (or mammalian) vascular endothelial cells in vitro. Our ECGS is used to improve growth, supplement and/or reduce serum concentrations in cultures of endothelial cells, Balb/C-3T3 cells and in hybridoma cell cloning. Optimal concentration range is from 25-200µg/ml. Our ECGS does not contain streptomycin, which may be toxic to cellsEndothelial Cell Growth Supplement, bovine hypothalamus is an extract of bovine neural tissue containing growth promoting factors for vascular endothelial cells of mammalian origin. It has also been reported to be beneficial as a media supplement for the fusion and growth of hybridoma cells in monoclonal antibody production. In addition to this it is used for the culture of many other cell types, including human keratinocytes.
